Welcome to Leading Edge Propeller
As a young boy I took my first boat ride before I could walk, being
the son of the founder and owner of Rally Sport Boats in the early
70's, I have been raised around boats. In 1985 we bought into
a prop shop that was the first, and to some of you old school
boaters, one of the best performance shops around. Kinsey's
Prop Shop. Most of my training took place at Kinsey's.
In 1987 I began racing Mod-VP, winning several local and out of
state races and became the 1988 Mod-VP North American champion.
My proudest moment in racing was winning the Mercury IOGP race in
West Palm Beach in 1992. I then moved to Bradenton and worked
for Hill Propeller in Sarasota. In 1997 we purchased the
company, and changed the name to Sarasota Hill Propeller. In
2004 due to some health problems, I put my equipment in storage and
went to work for one of the largest prop companies in the world as an inside sales person. After a
year and a half there, I realized that my place was working on
props, so, hammer in hand I am back as Leading Edge Propeller.
With years of prop technology and a lifetime of boating experience I
feel that we have the Leading Edge.
